On June 7, 2026, the TBH team deployed a hotfix for an issue where chests were not appearing. The same official notice also postponed the planned Relay Server Addition update and explained that the team was moving toward a dedicated server approach.

The hotfix was also a bridge to the June 8 market pause. The team repeated that only listing new items would be unavailable, while existing listings could still be canceled and previously listed items could still be bought.

Chest fixes and temporary delivery behavior

The official notice says the missing-chest issue was fixed, but it also added temporary logic to hold chest acquisition requests under server load and grant them later in a stacked form. That means players might not receive a chest immediately, then see several arrive together.

For players with many stacked chests in Steam Inventory, the notice recommends repeating Mailbox > Refresh > Claim Chest > Open Chest until the display catches up. It also advises refreshing before opening a newly received chest when many are stacked.

Why Relay Server work was delayed

The development team said internal testing showed that adding Relay Servers alone would not handle the continuously growing concurrent user count. Instead, they were preparing a dedicated server to reduce load on Steam's servers more fundamentally.

This is why chest behavior, market status, and server timing should be read together. A chest display fix does not automatically mean drop tables changed, but server-side delivery delays can change what players see in the moment.

Market pause schedule repeated in the hotfix

The same notice repeated the June 8 schedule for the temporary market pause: 12:00 AM PDT, 4:00 PM KST, and 8:00 AM BST. It again framed the limitation as a pause on listing new items, not a removal of every existing market action.
