On June 15, 2026, the TBH: Task Bar Hero development team announced that the Ver 1.00.12 server migration update had been carried out. The stated goal was to begin fundamentally resolving the issues caused by server overload by moving part of the game's data processing to the developer's server.

This update affects more than one system. It changes chest timing, server response handling, account reset behavior, Mailbox refresh behavior, data-consent UI, Cube synthesis filtering, Act Boss Chest accessory probabilities, and invalid item verification.

Important notices before playing Ver 1.00.12

The official notice warns that after connecting to version 1.00.12, connecting again with an earlier version may result in item loss. Lost items cannot be recovered, so players switching devices or launch locations should update the game or verify file integrity before launching.

The team also notes possible regional connection issues due to the server provider, with Russia named as one possible affected region. They are investigating and plan to continue improvements.

  • During the update, items are checked against Steam item registration data, and abnormally generated or invalid items may be deleted.
  • Initial Registration Wait may assign up to a 1 hour wait if too many users connect at once.

Server and Mailbox changes

Part of the data processing has moved to the developer's server. The update also reduces the minimum acquisition time for Common Chests and Stage Boss Chests, and changes the game so it closes if the server fails to respond.

The invalid item popup text was revised, and account reset logic changed. After an account reset caused by data processing, access will now be restricted for 1 hour.

  • The Mailbox can now be refreshed immediately upon opening.
  • The Mailbox Refresh cooldown changed from 10 seconds to 5 seconds.
  • Chests you currently own are moved to your Mailbox and can be retrieved again there.

UI and consent changes

Because the content and method of data collection changed with the server-based update, existing users now see a Terms Re-consent screen. New users also see an updated Consent to Data Collection and Use screen.

Feature changes and bug fixes

Cube synthesis now filters out equipment for DLC characters you have not purchased. Act Boss Chests also changed so that accessory acquisition probabilities vary by equipment slot.

The bug-fix list includes the Knight first-character reward issue, missing Accessories from Act Boss Chests in specific stages, and a mismatch between the number of Chests held and the number actually displayed.

  • Affected missing-accessory stages include Nightmare 2-10; Hell 1-10 and 3-10; and Torment 1-10, 2-10, and 3-10.

Steam Market reopening and anti-cheat verification

For the Steam Market, the team says it plans to reopen as quickly as possible once server stability is confirmed. The exact reopening schedule will be announced after preparations are complete.

The update also strengthens the verification process for unauthorized programs by adding additional data to help identify users employing unauthorized programs.

Developer note

The team says this is its first time providing service to such a large number of users, and that there are still areas where it lacks experience. If issues arise after the update, the team says it will work to address them as quickly as possible so players can enjoy the game comfortably.

The notice also says the team will continue working on bug- and hack-related issues, and apologizes again for any inconvenience caused to gameplay.

How to use wiki data after this update

This announcement changes how players should interpret chest timing and market availability. Database pages can still help with items, stage boxes, heroes, and routes, but chest delivery timing, invalid-item cleanup, and Steam Market availability depend on live server state after Ver 1.00.12.
